Shri Aadesh Gupta

Aadesh Gupta ji was born on 29 January 1969 in Gursahaiganj, Uttar Pradesh, Gupta ji started his career in politics in 1987 after becoming a member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) as a class XII student at Madan Mohan Malaviya Inter College. His involvement in student politics continued at Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University. He became the head of its district unit in ABVP and later the secretary of the state unit. He actively participated in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and campaigned among students for its support.

Gupta ji joined Bharatiya Yuva Morcha and became its national office secretary in 1994 under the leadership of President Dharmendra Pradhan, also held several positions in the Delhi unit of BJP from 2009 to 2014, becoming the President of West Patel Nagar Mandal in 2009 and later the chief of Najafgarh Mandal.

In the 2017 Delhi Municipal Corporation election, Gupta ji was given a BJP ticket to contest from the West Patel Nagar ward of Karol Bagh area of ​​​​the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC). He won the election and became the Mayor of NDMC in April 2018. Adesh Gupta ji was the President of Delhi BJP from 2 June 2020 to 11 December 2022.
